The Challenge
In 2024, iSite was hired by one particular biometrics firm, to set up and manage their cloud services. This firm has biometrics devices at a variety of sites, and processes data from these devices to deliver key insights. In order to process this data, it must be transferred to the cloud servers managed by iSite, where their customer's core services run.
iSite quickly realized they would need to set up secure tunnels to these sites, in order to access the data securely, and get it into the cloud environment.

Finding a Solution
"We were managing 15 sites, and needed to collect data from all of them. We needed a solution quickly," says Ridwaan, the owner of iSite."
"We tried setting up our own WireGuard server, as well as OpenVPN, but the management involved was too time consuming. We needed something that our engineers could roll out quickly and easily, without requiring a dedicated networking expert to manage the solution."
That's when iSite discovered Netmaker.

"On previous projects requiring access to on-prem networks, we had to set up network appliances. This was expensive for the customer, and took a lot of additional maintenance. With Netmaker, no network appliances were required."
Results & Future Plans
With Netmaker at hand, iSite has been able to easily roll out network access, and they plan to expand their usage to other customers in the future.
